Summary
■Objective
The core conducts advanced research and education in the field of human interaction science and intelligent media information processing. It will develop a knowledge communication model by measuring the process where knowledge in co-action emerges as a result of the interaction among multi-modal information, brain and biological processes. In addition, it will develop a suite of technologies for facilitating creation and application of grounded knowledge. In particular, it will attempt at unveiling the origin of intelligence encompassing tacit knowledge, personality and embodiment, through interdisciplinary collaboration among the experts of computer science, brain science and biological science. We believe that this approach will contribute to realization of human-centric ubiquitous computing where everybody can interact with artifacts in a natural and creative fashion.
■Research Plan
The primordial knowledge model and its experimental environment are developed by measuring a relationship between brain organic activities and human communication behaviors, and a knowledge creation and succession support system is developed by using the primordial knowledge model.
